Read a little more about how Allan has helped the wellbeing of his existing, loyal customers
I have worked with Alan at two major station events and on both occasions, he was a pleasure to deal with, a complete professional.
At the Covi Motorhome , Caravan and Outdoor Supershow and also the 45 Plus Living Show, Alan worked with Coast to facilitate a great listener experience. He was on time every time, well prepared and engaged with our audience and show visitors. I would not hesitate to recommend Alan to any customer or client looking to add value to a company event.
I cannot leave the country without shouting the praises of Allan Heta Cleaver. He practices in The Hayes Building , in Teed Street, Newmarket.
I found him when looking for a Mirimiri Maori style massage. The treatment starts and ends with a prayer. Mesmerizing. The room is warm warm warm, the couch dressed in pristine white sheets, like a five star hotel bed. Sunshine beams in, the soundtrack of Maori singing and nature form the perfect sensory backdrop.
I had the choice of three oils/waxes, and chose the Emu blend, rather than Apricot Oil, or Lavender. Yummy, gently fragranced with aromatics, I don't know where the Emu comes in, but I'm glad not to smell like one...
From the moment Allan appears, with a warm smile and a genuine welcome, you know that this is going to be good!!
After a paper consultation, then a chat about your needs, Allan gives you the treatment you asked for, but so much more than that. You know that you are literally 'in the hands' of an experienced and spiritual masseur. You feel safe, cossetted and relaxed. At the end of the treatment, you have the option of choosing a card from a pack, which relates a message about you.
I think that he should be recommended widely. He came up from Nelson to practice here. Don't miss the chance.
Allan also practices Pre and Post pregnant women, Sports massage, Trigger point massage, and foot joint mobilisation.
My contact with Allan has been through my work as the Mental Health Coordinator at Nelson Bays Primary Health (NBPH). Allan worked as a contractor to NBPH delivering mental health Packages of Care (massage therapy) to persons of any age suffering from mild to moderate mental health issues. Referrals to Package of Care providers such as Allan were from GP's and Maori Health Providers.
Allan received a number of referrals for his service and the feedback that I received after the fact was very positive. Massage seemed to be particularly helpful to those persons suffering from stress (current or ongoing) and pain management.
I found Allan very accommodating and easy to deal with. He is very professional in his manner and honest. I have no problem recommending Allan for similar type work.
As an active sportsperson I have had many physio and massage treatments over the past 25 years. Allan is without a doubt one of the best therapists I have been to and after just one treatment I felt so much better on a number of different levels that I continued on a weekly basis until unfortunately for me he moved to Auckland!!!
I work as both a swim coach and a life/business coach and and am very aware of the need for life balance…….Allan works on areas of tension / discomfort but maintains a holistic view of the client via his treatment / his demeanor / the environment he creates……..Professional / Personal and Calming.
Two ladies who recommended his work to me both said they floated down the street” after a treatment with Allan – I too enjoyed that sensation – thanks Allan best of luck in Auckland.

I first started seeing Allan for massages after he was recommended to me by a friend, about a year ago and have been seeing him pretty regularly even since then. He gives excellent massages with a good attention to and memory of areas that particularly require work.
As a doctor I have been very impressed with his knowledge of anatomy. Also he has a keen awareness of the need to try to stay relaxed and keep good posture in all daily activities including work and sport.
I have always found him to be very professional and punctual. His rooms and laundry are always spotless. I would thoroughly recommend him to anyone who is wanting a massage for whatever reason.

I have been going regularly to Allan for over 6 months. Allan has successfully treated me for muscle tension and a painful back using deep tissue techniques.
Allan is clearly highly trained and experienced, his quality of service is excellent, he always works to a high and consistent standard. I can say without hesitation that he is the best massage therapist that I have ever attended.
I have nothing but praise for Alan. For 2 years I had a “Tennis Elbow” like symptom going on in my right arm. I had tried 2 or 3 different practitioners without any success at all. I was talking to Alan at swimming training one morning and our coach said me “this is the guy you should be going to”. I can tell you that after only 2 sessions with Alan he had it cured. I can now play tennis all day if need be, and don’t need to wear an elbow band at all. To me it was a miracle. I have heard lots of similar stories from all sorts of different people, not just sports people. In fact, a couple of swimmers I know have been begging Alan not to leave Nelson as they don’t know how they will cope without his healing hands.
Outside of work, Alan is a great friend to everyone. He is friendly, outgoing, and always has a smile on his face. He has a calming influence on whoever he meets, which is a great gift in today’s rush-rush world.

I just wanted to say Thank You so much for yesterday! I feel amazing today and have not experienced any pain or discomfort. My muscles are no longer tense and I feel so much better. I have recommended you to everyone I have seen and have given your cards out so hopefully some of my friends and family will come to see you soon.

Allan is an excellent massage therapist. Our firm has used him for some time now and his fortnightly chair massages for our staff are great at reducing stress and helping to keep problems like RSI at bay. He has a brilliant personality and is so easy to talk to. We’d have no hesitation in recommending him to others.
I have been fortunate to have Allan Cleaver as my Massage Therapist for the past 4 years. During this time I have found him to be highly competent in his craft and a person of great integrity.
I have been utilising Massage Therapy for a number of musculoskeletal conditions and Allan has been one of the few therapists who has understood my requirements. He has taken a full health history and followed up his treatments, which were always successful.
Whilst Allan was practicing in Whangarei, I was able to refer patients to him in the knowledge that they would receive excellent treatment. Positive feedback was received in all cases.
I am an enthusiastic but decidedly middle aged multisports and mountain running competitor (Southern Traverse, Individual Speight’s Coast to Coast and eight times Kepler Challenge finisher).
I work as a GP in Whangarei with a special interest in sports medicine (I am an accredited provider for the NZ Academy of Sport) and in adolescent health. I teach GP registrars under the RNZCGP training programme and 4th and 6th year medical students for the University of Auckland School of Medicine. I also coach football at a highly competitive level.
I have personally benefited from Allan’s expertise in massage therapy whilst he was practising in Whangarei. I found him to be well organised, thoroughly professional and clinically very effective.
I looked forward to my regular sessions with him. These relieved the effects of extended training and competing as well as helping healing any intermittent injuries I sustained. His interventions improved my recovery times. Occasional problems I experienced with niggling low back pain and occupational stress related neck pain improved with his treatment as well.
I have recommended Allan as an effective and utterly professional massage therapist to wide range of people and have no hesitation in doing so to anyone considering seeking his expertise in his new premises and business in Nelson.

I have been working along side Allan for 18 months, and am very comfortable referring my patients to him for massage therapy. I have only heard positive feedback, and in addition, I find Allan to be very personable.

Allan has greatly assisted my wellbeing and reduced the pain in my back. He provided me with some great exercises and these continue to help tremendously.
